These drawstring bags have the same design on both sides.   Pentagrams are used for protection from evil spirits and used in rituals to invoke or banish spirits. They are also used to represent the five elements of air, fire, water, earth, and spirit. Pentagrams can also be associated with the union of opposites such as male and female. In early Christianity, the pentagram represented the five wounds of Christ or the Star of Bethlehem which appeared in the sky when Jesus was born. The Sumerians felt it represented the “vault of Heaven” which was the planets of Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, and Venus.
