Phantom Quartz occur when there is what appears to be a crystal within a crystal.  The phantom shows up as, in this case, a white layer, within the clear Quartz.  It has the same shape as the crystal, but is contained within it.
 
I channeled what this crystal does.  This one has a chamber inside of it.  The chamber can be used to provide a safe place for you to be if you are feeling threatened, or if you are working on something that you want to keep secret.  Just make sure that what you are keeping secret is for pure intentions rather than evil.  If you are feeling stuck, the Angels and your guides will come to lead you through the "door" that is present in this crystal.  This will lead you out of any situation where you feel unable to move forward.  The crystal is powerful, and has a masculine-take charge type of energy.
 
The top has almost equal sides making this a powerful energy generator crystal as well.
